Recording of a handheld game tronic device. I connected the device directly from the plate to the audio in of my computer. So the sound is kind of original. The batteries were little low, so the audio is mutated and sounds strange.

I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up. To do this i use a digital recorder zoom h4n using the two incorporated microphones and two 'diy'ed contact microphones additionally. This here is the sound of a western digital caviar 32500 working fine.

You know the sound effect when you bump into a microphone and it starts acting out. I decided to digitally create the effect in audacity! feel free to use!.

This sound is actually a voice stretched and processed until you hear dinosaurios. Along with multiple flanges & phasers & pitch shifts & compression. The voice is from an episode of cyanide & happiness "señor clean first" when she say 'hey what the hell man. '. Hilarious.

These sounds are produced by the instrument called rainstick. It has little pebbles inside that produce some interesting slide noises when held upside down or inclined. I hope they can help you in one of your projects.

This is the sound of a buderus boiler firing in a basement recorded in stereo with a sound devices mixpre 3 and a pair of audio technica at943 microphones.

Microphone handling sounds for found footage and handheld recorder-style sound design, to give a realistic sense of device handling without adding a disruptive amount of noise to dialogue or environmental sound. I was looking for this on here and couldn't find it, so i made it myself. I figure other people could probably use it too, once in a while. Made by handling and adjusting my microphone, as indicated.

Decided to record me fucking about with pedals and getting silly with the afterneath by earthquaker devices, might be a sour note here or there but it was more just me having fun with my pedals, if you use it as always let me see what you used it for!.

While trying to get my microphone to work, it was having this unusual feed back buzzing pulsing sounds. Along with a strange noise. (this wasn't my voice, and the file hasn't been edited. ). "who's there?" and the "hello's" are of course me, trying to get the microphone to work. I decided to record it after i felt it was strange. Ambisonic test recording made with a sennheiser ambeo mic into a sound devices mixpre 6 ii. Recorded in 32bit float. Mic position was 'endfire'. Not too much action but it gives a good idea of how a quiet ambience sounds in ambisonic. You will need the sennheiser ambeo plugin in order to convert this recording into b-format.
